Bagan
Bagan, in present-day Myanmar, was the 12th century capital of a kingdom in what later became Burma. These roughly 25 square miles are home to more than 1000 temples and stupas, now in wildly varying states of repair.
I visited multiple times, from 2016 until COVID and a military coup put an end to tourism.
I hope some day to go back to this magical place.
Under The Water
Summers in Texas are so hot that I spend as much time as possible underwater, and of course, my camera comes with me.
Venice InFrared
Venice is one of my favorite places on Earth. I was recently able to spend nearly a month there, just wandering around with my infrared-converted Fuji XT-1.
Stripping the colors away from such a colorful place was a deep dive into light & shadow, composition, and form.
Across The Water
I've been lucky enough to make several trips to Europe in recent years, spending quality photo time in Italy, the UK, Portugal, etc. Yet I always want more...
InfrATX
Some images from my multiyear project shooting monochrome landscapes of the Austin, Texas area. In 2021, I spent the Pandemic Year on a project to get one good shot every single day. The project continues--at a slower pace these days.
A book of 184 of the pandemic year images is available here:
